Peanut butter cups

I made peanut butter cups for Mads! He looooves Reese's peanut butter cups, but they're very expensive here, so I decided to make my own! They were actually really tasty! :D

Also very simple, here's how you do:

14 medium size peanut butter cups:

♡ 200 gram milk chocolate (I used Marabou)
♡ Aproximately 1 dl creamy peanut butter
♡ 1 dl powdered sugar

Melt the chocolate and spread a good layer in the bottom of the forms. Use a spoon so spread it on the sides as well (not all the way up). Put in the fridge for a while to let the chocolate cool and harden.

Put the peanut butter in a bowl in the microwave for a few seconds - it is not supposed to melt! Mix it with the powdered sugar and take out the chocolate forms from the fridge. Spread a spoon of the peanut butter mix in every form and flatten it (do not leave any air pockets). Finish with another layer of chocolate on top of the peanut butter. Make sure the chocolate on the sides of the form ends with the upper layer.

Put in the fridge again for an hour or so - ready to eat! Keep cool in cookie jars or similar in the fridge.

Running shoes

Review: Sensai 38°C mascara

One of my Christmas presents was a mascara from Sensai, called 38°C. I had never tried it before, actually never tried anything from that brand before, so I had no idea what to expect. The name in an indication that the mascara washes off at 38°C temperatured water.

This is what it looks like:

This is the bent brush. Depending on which way the brush is used, it says to give different results, either length or volume.

Here is a photo of the mascara (sorry about the iPhone quality):

The black color is not too strong, which goes well with my blue eyes.

Length:     ♡
This mascara does give a bit added length, not extreme length, but a more natural kind. I would prefer a bit longer lashes, but on the other hand, I love the natural look of it!

Separation: ♥ ♥ ♥
Love the separation! It doesn't clump much (happens sometimes when you leave a bit too much mascara on the brush), and it separates your lashes well, which gives an impression of more volume.

Do I recommend this mascara?
Yes, I do recommend it! I'm not sure what it costs, but it's a great mascara! It gives a natural look and is very simple to wash off - you don't even need makeup removal! It's definitely one of my new favorites :)

Here is another photo, taken with my camera after a day at the mall:

Shopping haul, at last!

Finally, here's my "mini shopping haul", hehe. :) Sorry I didn't take better photos, but these will do. I only bought things I needed (well besides the top, but it was so cheap it doesn't matter), that's why I don't have a mountain of clothes to show you!

This is what I got at the sale, not much, but enough!

First off, my bra. I bought it at Change, because regular stores don't have my size. :( It's so comfy, but was pretty expensive... Totally worth the money though! and with cute details ^^

Here's a top from H&M, love the color! It was really cheap, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it. Lace on the sides... ;) I also bought socks because I don't have enough... these are a pair for every day of the week (I was wearing one pair, that's why it's missing, lol)!

Here they are, the best winter boots I have had in a long, long time! Almost 70% off! Very comfortable and pretty too! Makes my legs look just a tiny bit longer! Actually my other boots all leak or aren't warm enough, so these were well needed.

That's all! Might show you some of my Christmas presents some other time, and review the mascara later tonight (might actually publish the post early tomorrow instead). See you! (#^v^#)/

Shopping again!

I went to the mall today again with my little brother. He bought a shirt that I picked out, and I bought a top from H&M on sale! Only 50 SEK (used to cost 199 SEK)! Also tried on a cap xD

After dinner I'll show you all the things I have gotten on the big sale! :) Can't believe I'm leaving already on Saturday! Feels like I just got here.... Have to stay longer next time!

Christmas sale shopping

I went to the mall for the big sale today and found a few things I desperately needed! I will show you tomorrow though, haven't taken any photos yet. It was nice meeting Lina again too. She's one of my best friends and I haven't seen her in six months! The weather sucked though, we have a lot of snow here (I think they said the most snow we have had in 50 years!), but it was raining so the snow was melting.... At least in Denmark there is no snow. :P

What to look forward to tomorrow:
♥ Small shopping haul
♥ Mascara review

See you then!

Visiting family

I'm in Västerås now, visiting my family :) Tomorrow I'm going shopping with Lina! It's so weird, I haven't seen any of them since last summer (it's been 6 months)! It's nice to be back, but I miss my bunnies!! .... and Mads, of couse! hehe ;)

I will write a review on a new mascara I got, so don't miss it! :) Merry Christmas, everybody!

Tirin today; new hair color

I dyed my hair darker yesterday, and this is the result!
I like this color better than the platinum blonde (even though I looove light blonde hair), because it looks more natural and doesn't damage the hair as much, lol. I'm leaving for Sweden on Sunday, and it will be the first time my family sees me in this hair color. :) I'm sure my mom will like it, but my sister thinks I almost look brunette. xD The color will fade within a few a weeks though.

I've become really good at cooking (if I can say so myself)! Yesterday I made a "taco pie", delicious!

I'm going to have some left-overs for lunch now. :) Have a good "last day of Earth"!

My hair now VS then

I dyed my hair again today, because the color had faded again. I dye it copper blonde, so a kind of darker blonde color. As you know, my hair was platinum blonde before. Here is a comparison:

Also, fake curls VS my natural curls

Which is better? :)

Making my readers fit! :)

Today was my third time running this week. I think I ran about 2,5 km (but with short walking breaks - which also keeps the body burning maximum calories, because you change your speed constantly). I will run the same distance/time tomorrow as well. :)

Here is what I think is important when wanting to get fit:

1. Decide to do it
Make a promise to yourself to start exercising. You do not want to fail yourself by breaking an important promise. Think positive - exercising will only do you good! Don't allow any "I don't want to..." - force yourself to get out and exercise, no matter what!

2. Find motivation
Look at pictures of your dream body, or health goal. Do you want to get fit, build muscles, and/or get healthier? Make a list of things you want to be able to do, and when you want to do it - but be realisitc! If you set your goals too high, your body will "shut down" and find your goals impossible to achieve.

3. Start slow
Don't push yourself too hard in the start. Start slow and listen to your body. Push yourself a bit, but not to the extent when you feel you're "going to die". What you want to think in the end of a the exercise is "I did it!", not "I couldn't do it".

4. Take a "day off"
Your body will need to heal after exercising, so take a day off during the week when you rest. If your muscles are sore from the exercise it's good to take a day off, although it's not harmful to workout anyway. But you might want to rest, and that's OK.

5. A bit longer and a bit harder
Slowly increase the distance or time you run/exercise. Increase the time with a few minutes every week, that's enough. Soon enough you will be able to feel how it gets easier and easier.

6. Use apps!
I use RunKeeper on my iPhone, which lets you know your speed, distance (through your GPS) and time you have been running. Today I used C25K (couch to 5 km), which I like! It has different programs for every week, and it tells you when to run, when to walk, how much time is left, and for how long you have been running. The only downside is you can't see how many kilometer you have been running. You can at least choose which week's program you want to start with, and you can re-do weeks if you want. I started with week 3, might do it again tomorrow, or start with week 4.

7. Eat!
Food is fuel for your body, don't starve yourself! You can, however, go out for that run before breakfast. That way you burn more calories. Remember to eat a good breakfast afterwards though. And drink a lot of water - you will need it when you sweat more than you are used to!

I know I'm not exactly a pro at working out, since I just started, lol. But I feel motivated every morning when I wake up to go running. And I can already feel that I can do more and better than when I started. :)

It is time...

First day of workout

I started the day by doing a double lean leg pyramid this morning. For those of you who don't know what that is, take a look at this:
I then had breakfast and went out for a short run an hour later. I just installed RunKeeper on my iPhone, and it says I will be able to run 5 km in 10 weeks - but I will set my goal to 10 km in 12 weeks! Why? I found a really inspirational website with challenges when running. For instance, the first week you run 12 min one day, 15 min the next and then 12 again (you can spread out these exercises over the week). The next week, you run 15 min, then 18 min, and then 16 min. The week after that, you run 20 min, then 20 min again, and then 16 min, and so on.

I will start tomorrow by running those 12 min, then rest Wednesday (because that's Mads' day off, I think), and run 15 min on Thursday, and 12 min on Friday or Saturday.

I will update you every month with a photo of how my body as changed so far :) I will upload the "before" (current) photo later. Now I'm gonna go make me a chicken salad!

Fitness inspiration

Guess what! I'm going to start working out. You know, just about 6 months ago I had abs, now... I don't. I'm not trying to lose weight or anything, since I'm kind of skinny, but I want to build more muscles, become stronger, and more healthy & fit! This is my inspiration:

Whoever this girl is, I'm going to get that belly too! ^^

I'm going to start running (even though I hate running), and I will do exercise at home, like push-ups, sit-ups, and other exercises. My goal is to have my abs back next year, and by the end of the year, I want my dream body! This is also good in case I would ever be attacked - so I can defend myself! Anyhow, I will start working out tomorrow, and post the "before"-picture. I will take new photos every month, until I have reached the "after2-photo. ;)

Christmas shopping

Mads and I went to a city called Lyngby yesterday to do some Christmas shopping. I absolutely love how they decorate the malls! It's so pretty and it really puts a smile on your face. :)

18 months - surprise dinner!

Mads and I are celebrating 18 months together today, so I decided to do something special :) I'm going to cook dinner so it'll be ready when he gets home from work. I decorated the table with candles, and napkins folded into hearts. I wanted red napkins, but we only had these ones.

I will update you later on how it went! :)

Christmas fair

Mads and I went to a small christmas fair today with his family. It was cosy :) but sooo cold!

We had "fika" and looked at all the animals; pigs, bunnies, geese, chickens, etc. We then went home with a bag we got from Mads' very sweet mother, containing my christmas presents and cookies!

Omnomnom :D

I actually decided to draw my eyebrows for pretty much the first time! - My eyebrows looked kind of dark compared to my platinum blonde hair, so I never had to do anything with them! But now that I have darker hair, I also need darker eyebrows. :) What do you think? Does it suit me?

Decoration dream

I want to refurnish and decorate my home!

Can't do that as long as we live in this apartment though. All the terrariums and stuff take up too much place. :( Isn't the cupcake/icecream theme awesome for the kitchen though? I even have a pink porclain cupcake I got from my sister a few years ago, that would fit perfectly in! And those icecream spoons are simply adorable. Must have!

Yesterday I baked kärleksmums (literally means "love-yummy"). It's a delicious Swedish classic at the fikabord. I didn't follow the classic recipe, but they're still very yummy!

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 dl sugar
  • 4.5 dl wheat flour
  • 3 tea spoons baking powder
  • 6 table spoons cacoa
  • 200 g melted butter
  • 1.5 dl whipcream or milk

  • 1 dl whipcream
  • 2 table spoons coffee (I didn't use it)
  • 1 dl cacao
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 2 dl powdered sugar
  • 2 dl coconut sprinkles for topping

This is how you do

1. Put the oven at 200 degrees C.
2. Beat the sugar and eggs until it becomes white and light.
3. Mix the flour, baking powder and cacao in a bowl.
4. Mix the flour-mix in with the sugar and eggs, white beating the batter.
5. Melt the butter and mix with the whipcream/milk.
6. Pour it in with the batter.
7. Put baking paper on a baking tin, and pour out the batter.
8. Bake the cake for about 15 min.
9. Let the cake cool and start with the icing.
10. Mix the soft butter with the powdered sugar, coffee and cocoa.
11. Mix it together real good and let it cool so it will harden.
12. When the cake is cool, it's time to apply the icing all over the top!
13. Sprinkle the coconut sprinkles on top, and cut the cake in same size squares.
14. Put in the fridge for a while, or serve straight away - with love, of course!

Early Christmas present

I got myself an early Christmas present, so that I won't have to spend all my money on the midseason sale in Sweden! lol Now I have promised myself not to buy anything besides makeup. :) Oh, and the present is the jacket btw! It's soooo cosy, soft and wonderful! It's a bit big though.

I chose a size S but should have gotten a XS. :/

First snow

How adorable is Willow in the snow, with his snow-beard?? Too cute! ^^

Tirin Today

I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight :)

Need to dye my hair again.
