I got a nice bday present from Mads' family! It's a gift certificate to a makeup and beauty store called Matas, and I also got a nail file... Seems like Mads has told his mom that my nails are a bit discolored from too much nail polish use. LOL.
Also got free samples ;) hehehe
I'll show you the rest of the presents when I receive them. I got two beautiful dresses from Mads (we ordered them today, together), and I also bought myself a few clothing items on sale with the money I got from my family/aunt. Should be here in 2-6 working days, so next week! Awesomeness!
Tonight we're going to have something nice to eat as well. I'm going to find something pretty to wear, we're heading out for a while. I'll try to take some photos!
Today I was drawing with watercolor pencils! :) so much fun!
Here's a flamingo I made:
This is the sketch:
Drawing with watercolor pencils is like drawing with regular color pencils, except afterwards you can add water, using a brush, and it looks like watercolors! I didn't have a brush though, so I used Q-tips, lol.
Here is a drawing of the Swedish/thai blogger Foki. Unfortunately it didn't turn out so good because I drew it on a regular thin paper.
Yesterday, we went to a bday dinner to celebrate Mads' sister! I had sushi for the first time ever (I haven't had it because I don't eat seafood or raw meat, lol), it was actually pretty good! I had it with chicken and cucumber. :) It was served in the coolest way, like this:
On a shushi ship! ^^
Moreover, I want to complain about the ridiculoucly cheap makeup store feelunique.com. I ordered a few things from there, since I'm running out of makeup, and right after I paid for it, when I got the confirmation e-mail, I realized I had forgotten to change my address from the Swedish one to the one in Denmark! So I e-mailed them and told them about this mistake. It took them f*cking four days to reply!! And they replied that it was already shipped away to Sweden. WTF?
It clearly said in the confirmation e-mail to contact them if there was something wrong with the order, and so I did, they just didn't care enough to read it. Talk about bad service! I mean, what if there was a mistake made by them? It will take some good convincing in order for me to shop there again.
I also have to convince my mom to send me the stuff she will be recieving.
Speaking of movies... Did you watch The Dictator yet? I've read some bad reviews about it, but I think the movie is hilarious! The plot might not be the best, but the jokes are perfect! I laughed a lot! If you like Sasha Baron Cohen, you have to watch this movie!
Alla vill såklart ha snyggt hår, då hår är en av de första sakerna man tänker på när man möter en ny människa. Är håret välskött? Rätt frisyr för ansiktsformen? Rent och glansigt? Eller kanske vanvårdrat och frizzy?
Not to fear, my friends!
Mads and I are going to a wedding in September, when one of his best friends is getting married. :) I'm in great need of a pretty maxi dress to wear at the ceremony! I have found two favorites:
These two dresses are from Nelly. I will probably wear the one to the right for the wedding in September. I love pink, and while it's feminine, it's still sophisticated.
Here's a basic guide for all of you who do not know what to wear for a wedding:
Obviously, the bride is wearing white, so avoid white dresses. Avoid blacks and grays, you're going to a wedding, not a funeral. While you want a colorful dress, you don't want to look like you're going to a festival in Rio. Pastel colors and very light colors are perfect! Light blue, green, pink, purple... you decide :) Choose a color that goes well with your skintone and hair color, but also a color you feel comfortable in. If you for some reason want to wear a dark color, I would suggest a dark blue.
You don' want to look like you're going to a night club, so choose a dress that doesn't end right below your butt. I prefer maxi-dresses at events like weddings. It's sophisticated and feminine. If you want a shorter dress, choose one that ends below, or right above your knees.
As for cleavage, no showing off your boobs! Keep it classy, girls!
See-through or sequin dresses are probably not the best choice, since you're not supposed to steal everyone's attention or look like you belong somewhere else. You should probably wear a pretty light material, while not looking over dressed. It's OK if the dress has some bling on it, as long as it's not too much. Key words: Tone it down!
Don't wear too much bling, you don't want to compete with the bride! She should be the centre of attention. You can wear as much jewellry as you want, but tone it down. A sunhat is always nice at a daytime wedding outdoors!
While high heels will always be my favorite, ballerinas and other kinds of flat shoes are fine. Sandals are OK at daytime weddings, if the sandals are a bit more "expensive" looking. You don't want to look like you're going to the beach.
No deep cleavage!
No see-through or full sequin
Tone down bling
No sloppy shoes
Remember, even if the wedding is casual, you want to show respect for the couple and their love. ♥
Today I made cupcakes together with Mads, because tomorrow we're celebrating one year of living together! ♥ We made creamy chocolate cupcakes with banana-chocolate frosting! I put some sprinkles on as well :) Hopefully they will taste much better than they look! hahaha
Hello! :) Sorry for being so off lately... To cheer you up, here's a funny picture, dedicated to my brother who "suffers from Gingervitis" (as Cartman would put it):
Mads and I went to dinner at his parents' house today, and now we're relaxing by the TV before we go to bed. Oh and I got an early bday present from my Australian friend Robert today! And yes, I opened it already (can't have a present just lying around)! I'll show you tomorrow what I got! :)
Here's a picture of babyboy and me, from Saturday noon.
We went to the party around that time. The summer house we went to was so freakin' beautiful! Looked like a "small" modern mansion - and it was just a summer house! There was a tennis tournament (obviously I wasn't in it, I have never played tennis in my life, lol!), snacks, drinks... We went to the beach for a while, went for a walk in the forest, and then we had dinner. After that, the "real" party started. Lots of drinks, loud music - it was fun!
Some of the people... Only two striking a pose though. ;)
It was such a starry night... I swear I saw six shooting stars! So beautiful... ♥
Mads and I left Saturday morning and got back this afternoon. We've been at a party at Mads' family's friends' house! Lots of people and lots of fun! Especially for us young people ;) I'll tell you more about it tomorrow. We're both exhausted and will soon go to bed.
I was looking at a photo with "before and after"-pictures. The before-photo was of this person with extreme makeup, and the after-photo was a "natural" look. Wait, what?
I thought natural looking makeup was just a bit of light foundation and some mascara (maybe a bit of lipgloss too)? In this picture, this girl was wearing circle lenses, false lashes, rouge, what looks like lipstick, and had contoured her face. The eyebrows looks drawn on too.
Here's some "heavy makeup" for you!
I don't have anything against this person at all, she seems like a great girl, and she's very nice! :) but I'm just curious how that makeup can be a "natural" look for some people! I've been told I wear a lot of makeup when I only have foundation, mascara and lipstick on! It makes no sense to me! Obviously it's a more natural look for her, if she's used to heavy makeup, but the keyword is MORE. It's not natural, just more natural than the other style.
Ok, that's all! I got a huge cage for Charlie yesterday! She's enjoying it, and hopefully the future babies will too! No idea when they will come, but within 30 days or so.
Mads and I went to the movies yesterday to watch the new Batman movie! It was actually very good! :) Great actors and the movie was funnier than the other Batman movies (at least from what I can remember). I really recommend it! Especially to my dad and brother. :)
Before the movie, we went for a short walk and took some pictures..
This is taken around 19:15
I was wearing absolutely no makeup. Why bother applying makeup when you're going to spend the next 3 hours in a dark room watching a movie? I don't get that...
