Beauty tips for your hands

Hands... We use them everyday for pretty much everything we do, we show them to others everyday, and they are the first part of us that show our age! Despite this, and the fact that the skin on our hands is very thin and delicate, some of us forget to take care of those important body parts of ours! I've researched a bit for tips about how to maintain the "beauty" of your hands!

Always use gloves when doing rough work with your hands, like working in the garden, or doing the dishes.*

♡ * If you do not want to wear gloves when washing dishes, you can add a little almond oil to the dishwater. This will help keeping your skin moisturised.

When tanning, don't forget to put sunsblock on your hands as well. Sun rays can not only create sunspots on your hands (and rest of your body), but will also age your skin prematurely.

♡ Lotion is the key to soft hands during winter time. Apply a small amount of lotion after every hand wash, and once before going to bed. This will keep your hands nice, even in the coldest months!

♡ Coconut oil absorbs quickly into the skin, and helps keeping your skin smooth. It also repairs dry skin, and limits sun spots.

♡ To get rid of dead skin on your hands, brush the skin with sea salt & lemon mix, using a body brush. This should be done at least once a week if your skin is very dry.

♡ For stronger nails and softer skin, warm a glass of milk (not too hot), and bathe your hands for a few minutes. The lactic acid in the milk will exfoliate dead skin, while the calcium strengthens nails.

When filing your nails, always go just one direction, or else it might chip your nails, or make them more likely to break.

And of course, for a nice and clean look, apply a bit of nail polish! French manicure always looks nice, but if you want some color you can try any shade of pink - it looks girly and youthful. A classic red is never wrong either.
