Getting ready for tonight!

Okay it's a bit early since the guests won't be here until around 21:00, lol. But there's a lot to do! I just did the dishes, took about 40min!! Now I'm doing my hair, and the makeup will have to wait until later, as well as nail polish. When Mads gets home we have to tidy up a bit, and move the terrariums to our bedroom! The poor things would otherwise be disturbed my drunk danes...

Here is a sneak peek of Mads' costume!

It's fun what happened when we bought it... The woman in the store asked if we were going to a Halloween party Saturday (today) and Mads replied "yes" and told her about how extremely important it is to me that we have matching outfits (because he thinks it's super weird that I care so much about it). The woman just laughed and told him "it's a woman thing, you men wouldn't understand!". EXACTLY! See, I'm not weird at all! It's a woman thing! ;)

The day before the party

Hellooooo! :) Today Mads and I are going to Lyngby to find him a Halloween costume (that dumbass [no offense honey, loveyou ♥]  didn't order it when he should have), and to buy more sand and other stuff for the lizards! The male, Akilles, who was crazy when we first got him, is now very curious and calm when we open the terrarium. :) I took the female, Athena - yes I got to name her that! out for a small "photo shoot"!

 Cute, isn't she?

I'm sorry about the lizard-obsession these past few days/weeks. I will blog about other things too, promise! Tomorrow is our Halloween party - will blog about that! and the week after that we're going to Sweden! So I'll probably have lots to blog about when we get back! :)

Our new pets! ♥

Yesterday we got two new family members, from a breeder who seemed to only breed them for money, since he kept them all in small plastic boxes. :( They must be super excited to live with us now, in our awesome homemade terrarium!! They're two leopard geckos! Yay! I've had leopard geckos since i was 7 years old or so. I love them, they're both beautiful and friendly :)

Hona = female. She's still nameless, but I want to call her either Ariel or Athena. She's only 4 months old and a real cutie :) She's already calm when you pick her up.

Hane = male. His name is Akilles (Achilles) and he was extremely nervous and scared when we got him! He sqeaked and hissed at us when we tried to move him to the terrarium. Today I could pick him up without problems though, so he has calmed down and seems to like his new home. :)

And here it is, the homemade terrarium! Looks pretty good, right? :D They don't have a lamp yet (doesn't matter too much because they are active during the night and don't need too much light), but I believe that all living creatures have the right to UV-light, so we'll get them a lamp as soon as possible! This is a big improvement from where they come from!

It's fun that they can actually climb (a bit) on the walls on this terrarium, even though they only have claws, unlike most geckos. Looks awesome when they did it in the beginning!

So there you have it... now we have three pets, all lizards! Almost like a mini-zoo, as people have called it, lol. We want to breed leopard geckos too, but that will have to wait until the female is older and fatter. It will take at least half a year, I think, probably 8 months or more.

Blenda October fashion

Right now I'm looking through the fashion magazine Blenda, and I fell in love with the pages about different styles with the same leopard blouse! Makes me love fall, but hate it here in Scandinavia because it gets too cold too fast! These styles are gorgeous! Model: Reiko Ide

And here are two super pretty styles for those of you who live in warmer countries and can actually wear shorts in fall without getting gangrene because of the cold... ENVY MAX!!!

About this weekend...

Goooood morning :) I haven't blogged this weekend... Mads and I (ok fine, Mads did it) have been busy building a cricket farm (eewwww!!! saving money for lizard food though - especially since we want to have more than one lizard) and visiting this tiiiny town where his family has their summer house! We took pictures there by the lake:
You can't tell because of my bangs, but I'm giving him the bitch-look (while trying not to laugh). and then we looked silly together:
We also went to the beach where we decided to take a "normal" picture:
Muuuch love

It was extremely windy - thank god I was wearing a knitted scarf! The best part of the beach was... you could see my beloved Sweden!! Unfortunately you can't see it in the photo because of the light, but it was a good sight. ;)

Today when Mads gets off work we're going to this huge store to buy material to build our own terrarium! Hopefully it's not as hard as it sounds, lol. I'm sure it'll be fine!!

Aaaahhh this weekend is our Halloween party! It's so soon! and a few days after that we're going to Sweden! Yay! I get to meet my friends and family :D I miss them a lot. Since my brother recently turned 18, we're taking him out to a night club! haha I'm afraid to leave my brother alone with my boyfriend - he's Danish!!, so I'll keep an eye on them. Will be fun though :)

Have a super awesome day, everybody!

Today's hair and outfit

While waiting for Mads to get home early today so we can go out and do something, I took a few ego pics! Today I decided to leave some of my natural curls and curl the rest with a curling iron. I love the effect of that! It creates lots of volume, but keeps the hair long. :)

Pose pose.. and mirror pic!
Top: Gina Tricot
Jeggings: H&M
Belt: No idea
Bracelet: Present from when I was baptized.
Necklaces: Kicks (the one with a ring), grandma's (the one with pearls)

Okay, I will definitely need a cardigan or something in this weather, plus a jacket when we go out. This time I will bring my camera with me! lol Now I'm going to get something to eat, but first I will go watch Rango in the terrarium! hehehe :3

Pink, at last!

Finally we have pink cushions in the livingroom! They weren't as girly as the one from H&M that I wanted, but these are pretty and look great on the couch! :) The light color suited the room better, but I really liked the other one because it's more pink, so we decided to get both, lol. And now you can see that I live in this apartment too. ;)

Here's one more picture of the man Rango (who might as well be female, hard to tell). This is one of his darker shades of green. If anyone's curious, I would guess he's about 1 month old.

I promise to film him when eating someday (probably when he gets a bit older), because it looks so freakin' cool with the long tongue and everything! Besides, that's about the only time when he doesn't move at a snail's pace. Lazy bum.

Meet Rango!!

So yesterday when we went to the pet shop to buy an UV-lamp, Mads surprised me and bought the chameleon as well! It's tiny and soooo cute! We named him Rango (for obvious reasons, according to Mads), lol. We are gonna spoil him and give him a waterfall as well! :)

After our Sweden trip, we're having a baby...

... chameleon!!

That's right, we're buying a baby Yemen chameleon! haha We both want a pet, and right now we can't have a dog, so we decided to get a reptile, and more specifically a Yemen chameleon. We bought the terrarium yesterday (it's so big it has to stand on the floor), but of course it's not fully decorated yet. The little lizard needs a lot of branches and plants to climb (and of course an UV-lamp too).  So in about 3 weeks we will be 3 in this apartment!

What does an animal like that look like?, you might wonder:

Deer park

Yesterday Mads took me to a park filled with deer! It was freezing cold because of the wind, but it was nice :) a bit scary walking so close to the animals since they are not exactly as tame as the ones in the deer park in Nara, Japan. Despite the cold weather, it was great going for a long walk!

This was as close to the deer as I dared to go.

My high school Japanese teacher with a baby deer in Nara, March 2010.

All the close up pictures of the deer (there are quite many of them) will come later... they're on Mads' camera, and I don't know where he keeps the cable. Therefore I can't upload them now. ><

Today's hair and makeup

I did my makeup today in gray shades with thick dramatic lashes, and nude lipstick with light pink gloss. I also used a pink/orange blusher, and although it might be hard to tell from the picture, I highlighted my cheekbones with bronzing powder.

Educational Resource: Colleges that are online offer beauty classes for you girls who also love pretty makeup and hair.

For hairstyle, I decided to pull back my hair in two sections (and secure with hairpins), inspired by medieval princesses. :) I left it curly for a more princess-like look.

Now I'm going to do the dishes and then wait for Mads (who is working today) to get home! We're going for a walk later - and I'll bring my camera, because I want to show you where I live these days although it'll probably be too dark anyway! Have a good rest of the day!
